Legend has it that it was built with wine mixed in its mortar. That was not the case, but the construction of the church was paid for with the fine wine that this fertile red soil of clay and sandstone produces.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Renaissance Gothic church<\/strong> boasts one of the key works of the Navarrese Romanesque, its high altarpiece and other beautiful items such as the pews and <strong>Rococo organ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the top of the charter town, visitors can enjoy the magnificent views over the rolling landscape of Central Navarre from the <strong>Church of St. Mary<\/strong>, as well as delighting at the Flemish reliefs on its high altarpiece.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The tall Baroque tower of the imposing Church of San Pedro dominates the town\u2019s skyline.
