Three cultures left a strong mark on it, along with an <strong>unfolding of artistic styles<\/strong>, as can be seen in its town centre, laid out in <strong>three very different historical periods<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the early <strong>Roman, then Christian and Moorish defensive settlement, right at the highest point <\/strong>and now known as the \u2018Hill of the Moors\u2019, you make your way down through the warren of medieval streets that was once protected by a walled precinct around the <strong>Church of La Asunci\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Special mention should be made of its bell tower, and the Clock Tower, an example of that cultural symbiosis, where Christian and Islamic culture coexisted. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Miranda de Arga lies on the right bank of the river which gave the town its name and life. the <strong>Palace of the Colomo<\/strong>, recently restored and now the town hall, or <strong>Carranza House<\/strong>, where the eminent person from Miranda who would become the Archbishop of Toledo was born five centuries ago.<\/p>\n<p>This charter town has managed to keep its most recent agricultural past at the fore and which is celebrated at its annual Rural World
