29 August | Artajona
For more than twenty years, Artajona dresses up to celebrate its history in this festival. It is an ideal time to visit the Cerco and walk through the cobblestone streets and feel as if you were in the Middle Ages. Theatrical performances, musical entertainment, fights and parades on horseback, market and exhibitions are part of an event in which the whole town is involved. Activities for all audiences that celebrate the historical importance of Artajona, with episodes as curious as that, along with other nearby towns, was for some years an independent kingdom of Navarre.
This event is subsidised by the Government of Navarre-Nafarroako Gobernua and is part of the Network of Tourist Activities of the Central Navarre Consortium. The event, organised with the town council, is committed to sustainability and exclusivity and is part of the Turismo Bikaina-Turismo de 10 provincial sustainable tourism programme.
