Traditional Fairs

On the last Sunday of September, Puente la Reina-Gares holds its Traditional Fairs, with the spotlight on crafts and the legacy of its medieval past as a stop on the Way to St. James. The Calle Mayor is teeming with stands showcasing the work of local artisans and the guests from Saint-Sèver, its twinned town in France. Two tips it you go to enjoy the festive mood in this town: don’t miss the layas or foot-plough race, and delight your taste buds and senses with Puente’s famous roasted red peppers.

The event, organised with the town council, is committed to sustainability and exclusivity and is part of the Turismo Bikaina-Turismo de 10 provincial sustainable tourism programme.
