A blind tasting experience that will take you out of your comfort zone in the heart of Olite’s historic centre. But don’t worry, this isn’t a test. We’re here to have fun. The Ghost of Cosecheros, a family adventure

Discover this new version of the legendary Ghost of Cosecheros at your own pace. Pick up your route map at the counter and solve the mystery hidden in the family treasure hunt, The Ghost of Cosecheros. When you finish, we’ll check all the clues and you’ll receive… a surprise.

Discover Olite through craft beer

Sail with El Holandés Errante (The Flying Dutchman) through the world of Olite beer, guided by its captain Pieter, and discover another world where we value craftsmanship, proximity, quality and good work. You’ll have such a good time that you won’t want it to end.

What should you know?

Experience available on weekends throughout the year by reservation, subject to availability.

Activity aimed at all adults. Groups of minimum 2 people and maximum 22 people.

Reserve by telephone on 609 418 780. Payment of half the amount by Bizum to reserve.

Cancellation of the experience: must be made at least 48 hours in advance. In the event of cancellation, it may be rescheduled for a new available date.

The products sampled and other gourmet products from Navarre can be purchased at the El Holandés Errante shop, located next to Plaza de los Teobaldos.

OVUM Experience

Would you like to try our OVUM gem at the winery?

Well, you’re in luck because we’ve prepared a premium tasting where you can pair our most special red wine, made from century-old Garnacha grapes, with Navarran cheese and dark chocolate. A limited edition from 2022, aged for 12 months in OVUM barrels from the Taransaud cooperage in Bordeaux. So, if you love special tastings, this will be a real treat for your senses.

What should you know?

We recommend 2 to 4 people to share the bottle and the pairing. If you don’t finish the tasting bottle, you can take it with you.

Daily experience. Subject to availability if there is already a private group participating in another winery experience. On certain dates, instead of ‘Pinceladas entre vinos’ (Brushstrokes among wines), the ‘Cata a ciegas’ (Blind tasting) experience is scheduled.

Excursion to the Bardenas Reales and Olite

On this excursion, we will visit the Bardenas Reales desert in Navarre, Olite Castle, Pitillas Lagoon and the medieval walls of Artajona, four of the most iconic and visited places in Navarre.

In the morning, before the heat sets in, we will explore the most spectacular parts of the Bardenas, with several stops to observe the curious formations that water and wind have sculpted over the years. We will walk through the areas set up for this purpose and feel for a moment as if we are on another planet.

Afterwards, we will visit the Pitillas Lagoon, the largest steppe-type wetland of endorheic origin (with no river outlet to the sea) in Navarre and one of the most important in the Ebro Valley. A place of rest and habitat for a wide variety of birds, its high ecological value has led to it also being declared a Nature Reserve (1987), a Special Protection Area for Birds (1991) and a Wetland of International Importance (1996).

We’ll continue on to the charming and picturesque medieval village of Olite, where, just as in days gone by, we can stock up on the finest wine and dine at any of its many restaurants. We’ll stroll through its streets, admiring Renaissance palaces and the remains of buildings that take us back in time to the era of the Roman settlement. And, of course, we’ll visit one of the most sumptuous and beautiful palaces of the period – the one built by King Charles III the Noble, perhaps to please his wife, or perhaps to indulge himself, given his love of luxury and all manner of whims.

We shall go back even further in time, to the 11th and 12th centuries, when the first references were made to what is known as the Cerco de Artajona, although it is known that the Romans had already built a watchtower on that very hill. These walls were built on the initiative of the canons of Toulouse, and in 1976 they caught the attention of the director of the film *Robin and Marian*, starring Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn.

We live and breathe wine

Enjoy a guided tour of our wine library and barrel room, where you will discover how Ochoa has built its reputation over its 180-year history. Everything is explained in an entertaining way, with a special focus on wine culture and heritage.

At the end of the tour, you can enjoy a tasting, aroma game and sampling of four of our most prestigious wines: Oxoa, Ochoa Reserva, Finca Corazón de Montijo and Moscatel de Ochoa, accompanied by bread, our olive oil, locally sourced cheese, cured meats and Ochoa chocolate.

We recommend this tour if you’d like to enjoy a different kind of experience with friends, your partner or family, and are particularly keen to learn more about wine and sample some of the finest wines.

Visits are offered on a one-off basis or by reservation for groups.

The visit is adapted and accessible in the winery but is not 100% accessible in the vineyard.

Experience wine now

Enjoy a guided tour of our winery and vineyard, where you will discover our unique approach to wine, which has remained faithful to our principles, our land and our history for six generations. Everything is explained in a friendly, simple and familiar way.

At the end of the tour, you can enjoy a tasting session featuring four of our wines accompanied by bread, our olive oil, locally sourced cheese and Ochoa chocolate.

We recommend this tour if you’d like to enjoy a different kind of experience with friends, your partner or family. The tour is adapted and accessible.

This tour is available from Wednesday to Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Visit to the Historic Wine Cellar

Accompanied by a member of the family, you will visit the main staircase, the courtyard, the coat of arms room, the tapestry room and finish in the historic wine cellar, where you will taste the wines and products of the house.

What should you know?

Tour in Spanish and English. Approximate duration 60 minutes.

For groups of between 10 and 40 people.

Pets are allowed in carriers. Activity not suitable for children.

Visits are by appointment only.

A deposit will be required and must be paid by credit card through our POS terminal.

Tickets may be cancelled free of charge up to 4 calendar days before the date of the event.

Payment will be made at the time of booking via a payment link.

Visit to the Main Floor and wine tasting

Accompanied by a member of the family, you will spend an hour touring the drawing rooms, bedrooms, study and dining room on the main floor, where you will be told the history of the house and those who lived there. At the end of the tour, in the historic wine cellar, you will sample the family’s wines, cured meats and extra virgin olive oil.
In this way, you will be able to see for yourself the house where Isabel de Farnesio, Ferdinand VII, Maria Amalia of Saxony and Alfonso XII once stayed. Furthermore, the building also served as French barracks during the War of Independence, as Cristino barracks and a Red Cross hospital during the Carlist Wars, and as a non-commissioned officers’ school and Civil Guard headquarters during the Spanish Civil War.

Tours are available in Spanish and English. They are for small groups of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 14 people.

Children under 3 go free.

Visits are by appointment only. The approximate duration of the experience is 1.5 hours.

Wine tasting

Would you like to taste our wines accompanied by typical products from Navarre?

We will also tell you a little about our history as we walk over the old cement tanks and enter the storage area. You can also visit the Winery Museum on your own, free of charge.

Activity available in Spanish (check availability in English) – *The explanation is brief, but it depends on the time you need to enjoy the pairing and the time spent enjoying the Winery Museum and its audiovisuals.

Two days among bees in Orísoain, Valdorba

Immerse yourself in the secret world of bees, where honey is born.
An experience that will have you buzzing with excitement.
To begin with… we will need to dress appropriately for the experience: you will need to come wearing long trousers and trainers or walking boots; I will provide you with beekeeping suits, overalls and gloves.
Next, we will drive to the apiary, where the bees are, in the countryside.
There we will prepare the smoker and open its lid, we will see and hear them.
I will accompany you at all times and answer all your questions.
Once back, we will take off our beekeeping gear, have a soft drink and some fruit.

What should you know?

Children aged 12 and over are welcome.

This activity is for groups of at least 4 and at most 8 people.

Duration of the activity: 1.5 hours.

Weather conditions must be favourable for the experience to take place.

Horse riding adventure in the countryside

The wisdom of the plough

We’ll explain what life was like when the countryside moved at the pace of an ox. When the strength of animals and human hands brought the land to life. Before machines, there were simple, handcrafted tools, made from materials provided by nature.
A journey through the year, exploring the different tasks and crops. The vegetable garden, water, farmyard animals and bees.

Beer tasting tours for groups

If you are part of a group and would like to enjoy a craft beer tasting without travelling, we can bring it to you wherever you wish.
We provide all the necessary equipment except for the venue (tables and chairs).

Guided tour of Eunate
