- Our answer to anyone who says ‘I don’t like red wine’ is to ‘try this one and then let us know’. Enjoy the perfect balance of acidity and concentrated flavours of Middle Navarre’s red wines. Talking about red wine here includes grape varieties such as Tempranillo, which produces full-bodied reds, or Graciano, which adds freshness. Grenache is unquestionably the area’s most typical grape and is used to make a characterful wine.
- Savour the unique character of white wines with varieties such as Chardonnay, Viura and Grenache Blanc. Fresh, aromatic, sweet, dry: each blend is unique and you are not going to taste two whites that are identical. Make sure you taste the sweet whites made with Moscatel grapes, and why don’t your try the sparkling whites that explode on the palate.
- And don’t forget the rosés, which are undoubtedly the most typical wines of Middle Navarre. These young, light and fruity wines, will leave you wanting more with each sip. Each winery puts its own stamp on them and you can even find sparkling rosés!

Wine Harvest Festivity in Olite/Erriberri
It sounds like something straight out of the Middle Ages, but it is held every year! The Navarre Wine Brotherhood celebrates the wine harvest on the first weekend of September. Busking, tastings, history and cuisine all come together to immerse you in Navarre’s wine culture.
Sunday is the highlight of the weekend with the parade of brotherhoods, the heralding of the Wine Harvest and the traditional grape treading. Once there, you will the unique change to taste the first musts with the analysis and assessment of the harvest; you will also be able to join in the communal wine tasting hosted by D.O. Navarra wineries.
The Navarrese Wine Route
The Navarrese Wine Route is a product club that features wineries, vineyards, charming towns and natural landscapes in Navarre.
